Paul took photos of last week's Summerfest and we now have a few posted on the web. Check them out.
We were worried that attendance would dip after we all worked so hard last week and it was another hot summer morning. But we had 17, including four visitors. Worship was fun, we learned two new hymns, singing one as a canon. The other was a calypso song. After church, we planned for restarting the Swahili language worship as an extension of English worship. This will happen on the first Sundays of the month. We need to be flexible as we find a way to do this which will benefit both English and Swahili worship.
We said Goodbye to Charles, our regular summer visitor, as he returns to Phoenix this week. Charles has been attending services at Redeemer in the summer for several years.
The next few weeks will be tough as many are vacationing. Please try to get to worship services if you are in town. We will work hard to make them meaningful for everyone.
